Shape Formulas

• Rectangle: Length × Width × Depth
• Circle: π × Radius² × Depth
• Triangle: (Base × Height ÷ 2) × Depth
• Trapezoid: ((Base1 + Base2) ÷ 2 × Height) × Depth

Soil Type Densities

• Topsoil: 1.2 tons/yd³ (1.6 tonnes/m³)
• Garden Soil: 1.3 tons/yd³ (1.7 tonnes/m³)
• Potting Mix: 0.8 tons/yd³ (1.1 tonnes/m³)
• Compost: 1.0 tons/yd³ (1.35 tonnes/m³)
• Fill Dirt: 1.5 tons/yd³ (2.0 tonnes/m³)

Tips for Complex Areas
